Whilst representing a skincare range on Channel 10‘s “Good Morning Australia” –Leigh’s relaxed style and professional manner scored her the role of advertorial host for “Good Morning Australia’s” local “ShopTalk” windows in Queensland.
Her extensive advertorial experience, now has Leigh flying regularly to Sydney to represent products for “Global Shop Direct” on all of the national morning programs, “Mornings with Kerri-anne”, “9am with David & Kim” & “ The Morning Show”.
Regional television viewers will no doubt have seen Leigh presenting her own advertorials under the “Coffeebreak” banner. This is her own business venture which she started two years ago.
Leigh’s friendly manner, modern look and confident style has connected her to audiences across the nation for many years, creating a recognisable face that commands respect.
Leigh’s attention to detail is legendary. Leigh’s continual rebookings for work is due to not only the way she connects with her audience but also because of the work she does with the client prior to the event/commercial to ensure that they achieve maximum results and exposure.
Leighs constant compering, voiceover, and corporate work ensures that her profile is always on the community’s mind.
This is the second year, Leigh has compered all of the preliminary judging of the NRA Design Awards on the Gold Coast, with Wayne Cooper, Jonathon Ward, Trelise Cooper, Camilla Frank, Gail Elliot & Jessika Allen on the judging panel and also interviewed the judges and retailers.
Recently, Leigh hosted the regional HIA Awards for the Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast and will again be interviewing sponsors and placegetters on the main stage at this years ‘Sunday Mail & Suncorp Bridge to Brisbane”.
Leigh has just completed her 6th consecutive year as the host of the Wool pavilion stage at the Brisbane Royal National Show. This 10 day event involved compering parades, interviewing guests and introducing various acts.
Leigh has also been busy behind the scenes with voice-over work for the National Retail Awards Dinner in Sydney, National Qantas Awards held in Los Angeles, and voice-on-hold recordings for Cadet Training & SCV Group. Now, with her own voice recording studio set up at home, Leigh is building a stable of regular clients including Jacaranda Books E-net educational programs, cinema advertising with Final Focus Australia etc.
In Leigh’s spare time, she set up Brisbane’s first major Bridal expo in 1993, starting at the RNA and moving to the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre. After 7 years of running this event, Leigh sold this successful venture to ‘Queensland Brides Magazine’. Leigh still comperes all of the Bridal parades at each expo.
