Australia’s Idol runner-up Shannon Noll’s meteoric rise to fame has shown no signs of slowing down since the launch of his first smash single ‘What About Me’ on Australia Day 2004.

The country lad singer from Condobolin with a rugged exterior but a soft centre won the hearts of the nation with his down to earth demeanor and Aussie attitude. From the first day he stepped on stage, his electrifying performances were embraced by judges and audiences alike. His fast-rising rock stardom, contagious personality and infectious voice are comparable only to John Farnham and Jimmy Barnes in their prime. After two sell-out national tours and critically acclaimed Bryan Adams support performances in 2005, Shannon has proved that he is here for the long haul. Shannon Noll’s debut album “That’s what I’m talking About” went five times Platinum in Australia and garnered him three consecutive #1 ARIA chart singles ‘What about me’, ‘Drive’ and ‘Learn to fly’ in 2004. His debut single ‘What about me’ reached four times platinum in one month alone. His subsequent DVD ‘Up close” was also an immense success in retail selling over 30, 000 copies. In 2005, Shannon was the recipient of MTV’s AVMA Best Male Artist award.
