Peter Berner

Peter Berner is without doubt one of Australia's most popular and respected entertainers and comics.

2005 has been another busy year for Peter with the recommissioning the ABCTV program The Einstein Factor, a new twist on game shows that provides a new angle of entertainment within that genre. In addition to which Peter continues to be a key member of Triple M's Breakfast Show The Cage for 2005, broadcasting into Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide. Peter started his career as a stand up comic in 1988. Since this time he has performed locally and internationally, as well as writing and performing solo comedy shows in festivals in Australia and the UK. His intelligent humour has set him apart as one performer who can comfortably straddle comedy styles as disparate as satire, observational comedy and reactive comedy with ease, leaving audiences in hysterics. Peter has appeared as a guest and panelist on various television and radio networks for shows that including Triple J, Good News Week and Hey Hey It's Saturday, and in 1999 Peter emerged as a major television talent as the host and writer of BackBerner. Broadcast nationally on ABCTV, his satirical comedy show received strong ratings and critical acclaim which led to award nominations and the rare comedy television accomplishment of recording 140 episodes. Peter has also developed into one of Australia's sharpest corporate performers, easily adaptable and quick-witted. Peter is a pleasure to work with and a pleasure to watch.
