Having worked in the fields of sales and marketing for over 21 years, Jonar’s most recent role was that of IBM’s E-business Software Manager where he also worked as an IBM Olympic Champion, and was IBM’s industry spokesman for deep-computing high-technology. Previous roles at IBM included the Consumer Manager for Asia Pacific South.
Jonar is now concentrating on his consulting business and on his publishing and education ventures including public lectures. He is a guest-lecturer at tertiary institutions for the faculties of Management and Business Studies. He writes and conducts courses on technology, leadership, management, advertising and marketing. For over eleven years he has presented his courses at local and international universities, colleges, and in-company training programs. He is an award-winning debater, arguing cases for censorship, security, customer service, technology in education, and technology in society.
Jonar presents courses on subjects relating to technology, leadership, management, motivation, thinking skills, teamwork, advertising, change, and politics.
Jonar is a non-executive director for a leading education institution, and advises many chairmen and CEOs at board-level. He is also an executive coach in that he is on standby to assist some of Australia's highest-profile executives when they need some technical, professional, market, or philosophical advice.
